A palette of personalities

To finish, a look at myself, and an encouragement to look at yourself.
First, a word of warning.
Throughout these notes I have used the colour circle
to represent the four principal faculties and temperaments derived from them.
Our temperaments are clearly far more complex
than those represented by the single colours
- although one may predominate,
we are in fact a mixture of temperamental hues.
The way we exercise our faculties may correspond to several temperaments.
I have tried to represent this below.
To show how the palette works,
I will explain how I see myself.
In general I'm on the green, phlegmatic side,
perhaps tending to the more compassionate and exploratory ways of observing life
- green with dashes of red and yellow!.
When I think and interpret (blue mode) I tend to be imaginative and intuitive
- dashes of green and yellow.
Sometimes I can be quite rational.
In contrast to my general phlegmatic nature,
I like doing practical things (red area),
but they tend to be more sensitive and creative (hints of yellow and green).
When it comes to expressing my ideas to others,
the pure yellow dramatic way (ie talking, acting) is my least favourite,
and I prefer the indirect way, by writing.
The rest of my family are all around the palette,
which makes for colourful living!
How about you?
Looking at all the previous notes,
you should get an idea how you are coloured in different aspects of life.
The important thing, it seems to me,
is to allow the Holy Spirit to "colour us beautiful",
building on our strengths, overcoming our weaknesses,
and giving balance to all our lives.
